Referring to your letter of the 30th May

1913 regarding your quotations for Wireless Stations

for Hong Kong, Barbados, Penang, Singapore and

Mombasa, the Colonial Office advise us that Marconi's Wire-

less Telegraph Co. Ltd. have issued a writ against your

firm through their Solicitors, Messrs. Coward and

Hawksley Sons & Chance, in respect of the proposed

contracts.

2. Before your application for an increase of

£175 per station is considered I have therefore to

ask whether, in view of the proceedings which have

been commenced against your firm, you are still prepared

to carry out the contracts.

3. In any case reference to the Government or

Barbados will be necessary with regard to the proposed

increase of £175 in the amount of the contract, before

it can be considered by the Secretary of State.
